Meet Rick
Co-Founder, CEO
Rick Abbott is a seasoned startup leader and former Michigan healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience working with employers across organizations like Priority Health, Lyn Health, and Premera Blue Cross. Known for his passion, creativity—and yes, his signature beard—Rick has spent his career helping employers navigate the complexities of healthcare. Along the way, he saw a critical opportunity: to better connect employers with the providers caring for their employees in order to deliver greater value for everyone involved.
Meet Aaron
Co-Founder
Aaron Friedkin, MD, is an experienced healthcare leader and former provider with a background spanning hospitals, health plans, and startups—including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Covera Health, and Homeward. Throughout his career, he has seen firsthand how disconnected providers often are from the employers who fund healthcare for their employees. A strong advocate for the patient experience, Aaron recognized that many local providers are eager to collaborate in new ways to better serve their communities. With Manifest, he’s bringing together aligned providers, employers, and brokers to reimagine how people access, experience, and pay for healthcare—starting in West Michigan.
